Refrigeration Mentor - Training Sales Terms & Conditions
Effective Date: March 2, 2025

These Training Sales Terms & Conditions ("Terms") apply to all purchases of training courses, programs, and educational materials (collectively, "Training Services") from Refrigeration Mentor Inc. ("Refrigeration Mentor", "we", "us", or "our"). By purchasing Training Services, you ("Client", "you", "your") agree to these Terms, which form a legally binding agreement between you and Refrigeration Mentor.


1. Scope of Services

These Terms govern all purchases, access, and participation in live, virtual, and on-demand training courses offered by Refrigeration Mentor, including:

  • Programs delivered via our Learning Management System (LMS)

  • Live webinars

  • Third-party platforms

  • Directly through our instructors

2. Payment Terms

  • All training fees must be paid in full prior to accessing the course unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.

  • Payments are accepted via credit card, bank transfer, or approved invoice terms.

  • Prices listed exclude applicable taxes (e.g., GST, VAT, sales tax), which are the Client’s responsibility unless otherwise stated.

3. Refund & Cancellation Policy

  • Online On-Demand Training: Refunds are not provided once access to course materials has been granted.

  • Live Virtual & In-Person Training: Refunds are available only if cancellation is requested at least 14 days prior to the scheduled training date. After this period, no refunds will be issued.

  • If Refrigeration Mentor cancels or reschedules a training session, participants will be offered an alternative date or a full refund.

  • Substitution of participants is allowed upon written request prior to training start.

4. Access Rights & Restrictions

  • All training materials, including but not limited to videos, slides, workbooks, quizzes, and assignments, are the intellectual property of Refrigeration Mentor and are licensed for individual use only.

  • Clients may not copy, reproduce, share, distribute, or resell any training materials without explicit written consent.

  • Access to online courses is limited to the registered participant and may not be transferred or shared.

5. Training Outcomes Disclaimer

  • Refrigeration Mentor makes no guarantees regarding the Client’s technical proficiency, certification success, job performance, or compliance with local regulations after completing training.

  • Training content is for educational purposes only and should not replace proper field experience, equipment manuals, or local safety codes.

6. Liability Limitation

  • Refrigeration Mentor’s total liability, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise, arising from any Training Services is limited to the amount paid for the specific training purchased.

  • Under no circumstances shall Refrigeration Mentor be liable for indirect, consequential, special, or incidental damages, including loss of revenue, profits, or operational downtime resulting from reliance on training content.

  • It is the Client’s responsibility to ensure that training content is applicable to their specific region, equipment, and regulatory environment.

7. Client Responsibilities

  • Ensure participants meet any prerequisites stated for the training.

  • Ensure participants have adequate internet access, technology, and software to participate in virtual or online training.

  • Ensure participants apply training knowledge safely and in accordance with applicable regulations.

8. Intellectual Property

  • All training content, course materials, and associated intellectual property remain the exclusive property of Refrigeration Mentor.

  • Unauthorized reproduction, resale, or public sharing of training materials will result in legal action.

9. Privacy & Data Protection

  • Client data provided during registration and training will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which complies with applicable privacy laws such as GDPR (for EU participants) and PIPEDA (for Canadian participants).

  • Client information will only be shared with third parties when necessary to deliver Training Services (e.g., hosting platforms) or required by law.

10. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

  • These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles.

  • Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario, Canada.

11. Corporate Training Agreements

  • For corporate clients purchasing training for teams, additional terms may apply, including:

    • Bulk pricing

    • Reporting

    • Service levels

  • These will be outlined in a separate Corporate Training Agreement.

12. Updates to Terms

  • Refrigeration Mentor reserves the right to update these Terms at any time.

  • Updated Terms will be published on our website and will apply to all future purchases.
